Personal Support Workers

Special Caring Individuals
People in Richmond Hill used to refer to Regional Nursing
Services as "the house down the street that will help me to stay at home
longer".
Our personal support workers are proud to wear the blue and
white uniform that has been a symbol of quality home care services since
1985. This versatile group of dedicated health care workers provide a wide
range of services: personal care, respite care, meal preparation, light
housekeeping, laundry, medication reminders, range of motion exercises or assistance with special
procedures (under the direct supervision of regulated professional staff).
Personal Support Workers are screened using a criminal
background check as well as an interview to assess personality and problem
solving abilities. All employees must have impeccable personal and work
references.
All employees are insured, bonded and protected by WSIB.
Each worker is supported and supervised by regulated health care professionals:
Registered Nurses and Registered Practical Nurses. Support and guidance is
available 24 hours per day 7 days per week.
